Dollar General 10% Off for Veterans Day

Veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve, and their immediate families get a 10% Military Discount at Dollar General on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011.

In addition, shoppers at the Dollar General website receive 10% off shopping online from November 11-13 , with the coupon code: VETERANSDAY.   The products available online are more limited, but they offer free shipping every day, which I always love. I hate paying silly prices for shipping!

Dollar General products include household goods, health items, and office and school supplies.

The many New Mexico Dollar Store locations include Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Farmington, Silver City, Deming, Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Hobbs, Lovington, Roswell, Ruidoso, Gallup, Grants, Las Vegas, and Truth or Consequences.

Denny’s Free Grand Slam for Military

Denny’s is giving a free Grand Slam to military personnel, whether retired, active or non-active, on Veterans Day November 11, 2011, between 6 am – 2 pm. You need to take valid military ID.

The offer is at participating Denny’s Restaurants only (see list of cities below), for dine-in customers, and it doesn’t include a drink. There’s a limit of one per person, which seems reasonable as it’s quite a big plate.  In case you don’t know, a Grand Slam is a meal of two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, and sausages.

According to an email from Denny’s Restaurant, the free Grand Slam for military is available at Denny’s in these New Mexico areas:

  • Alamogordo
  • Bernalillo
  • Carlsbad
  • Farmington
  • Gallup
  • Grants
  • Jamestown
  • Lordsburg
  • Los Lunas
  • Raton
  • Roswell
  • Ruidoso Downs
  • Santa Fe
  • Santa Rosa
  • Socorro
  • Truth or Consequences

I’m afraid Albuquerque and Las Cruces are notable by their absence. However, you can always check with your nearest location. *UPDATE* We’ve confirmed that at least some Albuquerque location are participating.
