The Tony Hillerman Writers Conference takes place in Santa Fe this weekend, and even if you’re not participating in the conference, it opens with a free public event on Thursday November 10 at 7 pm, at Hotel Santa Fe.
Author and retired CIA agent E. B. Held will give a talk on A Spy’s Guide to Santa Fe. He’s the author of A Spy’s Guide to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and the Director of Intelligence and Counterintelligence at the Department of Energy in Washington DC. He’ll be talking about Santa Fe’s Cold War and KGB history, and the people and places behind the espionage.
There’s no need to be registered for the Tony Hillerman Writers Conference to attend the free Spy’s Guide to Santa Fe talk.
