Small Business Saturday is on Saturday November 26, 2011, designed to encourage consumers to save some dollars after Black Friday and support local businesses instead on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
American Express card holders can get a free $25 credit (free money!) when they register an Amex card for Small Business Saturday. Then, spend $25 or more at a small business using that card on November 26, to get a $25 credit on your Amex statement.
According to the Small Business Saturday FAQ, a small business is defined as an independently owned and operated business, excluding franchises and national chain stores. You can also search for qualifying New Mexico small businesses by zip code to see where to shop to earn the $25 statement credit.
Registration numbers are limited for the Amex free $25 credit on Small Business Saturday offer, so register your card sooner rather than later!
